In October 2023, it was announced that Spalding would receive £20M in Long Term Plan for Towns funding, an endowment-style fund to invest over the next decade. Spalding Town Board, led by Chair Robin Hancox, was set up to oversee the funding and develop a ten-year vision for Spalding and an initial three-year investment plan for the investment.
At the heart of the funding is community involvement, and local people are asked to help to decide how this money is spent in Spalding.
