In October 2023, the previous government announced £20M (£2M per annum over 10 years) in Long Term Plan for Towns funding for Boston, to be invested around themes of safety and security; high streets, heritage and regeneration; and transport and connectivity.
The current government have since renamed this to Plan for Neighbourhoods with a wider focus on creating stronger communities and places; revitalising communities; and improving the economic, social and physical wellbeing for the residents.
Consultations and engagement surrounding the Plan for Neighbourhoods has since been carried out, with compilation of views in line with the criteria currently being finalised.
A briefing note outlining the Plan for Neighbourhoods in Boston can be found here: Spalding Cabinet – Plan for Neighbourhoods FINAL.pdf
