In October 2023, the previous government announced £20M (£2M per annum over 10 years) in Long Term Plan for Towns funding for Spalding to be invested around themes of safety and security; high streets, heritage and regeneration; and transport and connectivity.
Since then, this programme has been replaced with the government’s Pride in Place programme with a wider focus on creating stronger communities and places; revitalising communities; and improving the economic, social and physical wellbeing for residents.
Consultation and engagement has taken place in 2024 and 2025 to shape a ten-year vision and a four year investment plan for the funding. With local people at the heart of Pride in Place, there will be many more opportunities to get involved in shaping the detail of plans and projects, and in delivery of the programme in the months and years ahead.
